Visit to Aerodynamic Module Installation in Russia Cement Plant
West Springfield, Massachusetts-- (November, 1995)- Fuller Company technical personnel recently visited Magnitogorsk, Russia in order to observe the Aerodynamic Module (ADM) in operation at a local cement plant. They toured the cement plant with plant management and EPR Inc.'s former president, Stuart Weiselberg, and Project Engineer, Vlad Golovan.
The block of ADM's installed at the plant is designed to handle up to 36,000 cubic feet per minute of discharge coming from a rotary dryer. The unit's collection efficiency has averaged 96% since being installed in 1994.
Vadim Maslov, General Director of the plant, explained why the ADM was chosen over more conventional particulate collection equipment. "The ADM replaced the electrostatic precipitator, was installed in less than one day, and occupies 20% of the space." Maslov indicated that current plans call for the installation of the ADM on six additional rotary dryer lines within the Magnitogorsk facility. In addition to the six additional systems for the Magnitogorsk Cement Plant there are plans to install the device on the other cement plants and steel mills throughout the Ural Region. |
